Katia Kôren Robel

Katia Robel has practiced at the Paris Dojo since 1970. She was ordained bodhisattva by Master Taisen Deshimaru in 1970 and a nun in 1971. She worked full time for six years for him and helped him especially with the editing of his kusen, his oral teaching. She still works today in publishing for the AZI.

 

She has taught at the Paris dojo since 1983 and was the dojo’s president from 1996 to 2006. In 2006,  she set up the Sôtô Zen Association and teaches at the Châtelet dojo in Paris as well as at the Gendronnière and in Europe.

 

She is president of the Sôtô Zen Buddhist Association at the Gendronnière temple (a religious association).

 

Katia Kôren received Dharma transmission (shiho) from Shinzan Egawa Rôshi in 2003.
