Kesa sewing weekends

These weekends are a wonderful opportunity to come and practise sewing the kesa at the temple of La Gendronnière.

If you would like to start or continue sewing a kesa or a rakusu, you will be accompanied by Zen teachers who have been dedicated to sewing for years:

RATES

• Dormitory - Normal rate : 120 €
• Dormitory - Reduced rates (students and unemployed) : 83 €
• Double room : 150 €
• Single room (subject to availability) : 192 €

PROGRAMME AND ARRIVAL

Here are the upcoming dates for the kesa sewing weekends in 2025:

• September 27 & 28 with Françoise Kosen Laurent
• October 18 to 22, during the Spirit of the Gesture session, with Huguette Moku Myo Sijerol
• November 22 & 23 with Anna Seisen Wassermeyer
• December 13 & 14 with Françoise Kosen Laurent

Weekend participants arrive on Friday around 5pm.

ON SATURDAY

6.30am: zazen, guen mai and coffee

9.30am-12pm: sewing

12.30pm: meal

2.30pm-5pm: sewing

6pm: zazen

7.30pm: dinner

ON SUNDAY
 

6.30am: zazen, guen mai and coffee

9.30am-12pm: sewing

12.30pm: meal

2.30pm-4.30pm: sewing
