Disciple of Master Deshimaru, ordained as a monk in 1976.

Tenzo at Val d'Isère in 1977 and 1978, then at La Gendronnière from 1985 to 1991. He played an active role in the Dojo zen de Paris, first established at Rue des Cinq Diamants in 1984, then Rue Keller, in 1990.

He then becomes the responsible of the Gendronnière zen temple, from 1991 to 1997. During this time, major roadworks were carried out and all the buildings were brought up to European safety standards. 

In November 2012, together with the members of the sangha Tenborin, a holiday centre was purchased in Cantal, 20 km south of Saint Flour, to be used as a zen centre. For 11 years, numerous sesshins, summer sessions and seminars were organised there. The experiment ends in spring 2023, as the building requires too much work to comply with the new environmental standards.

In January 2024, he takes the position of abbot of the Zen Temple of Gendronnière.
